CSound and Houdini-Example #2
Flying Logos
Audio file (example_2.aiff) - 2.5 MB
QT Movie
(ex2.mov) - 5MB (Cinepack)

This second example is a simple "flying logo" with a few particles thrown in, the CSound instrument is a modulated series of resonant filters which is processing a white nose source. The filters characteristics, center frequency and bandwidth, are being modulated by position, velocity and particle color, the event generation is controlled by a simple oscillator using a Wave CHOP.

Here's the CHOP editor for this example, the TZ data for the text objects are fetched with a Fetch CHOP, "normalized" with a Math CHOP, and merged with the VX, VZ and "blue" channels of the particles. The data is then piped to a CSound score generator CHOP and is triggered using a Wave CHOP as a simple oscillator. (The instrument selection input, input #2, is not used in this example)
